The Securities and Exchange Surveillance Commission (SESC) is conducting an investigation on suspicion that overseas investor manipulated the market for long-term government bond futures, so we’d like to hear your views as the Minister in charge of government bonds.

I’m aware of the reports. However, the Ministry of Finance will not comment on responses by the SESC to individual matters. I think that’s all I can say, but whatever happens, it’s clear that all markets need to be properly monitored.
