Japan-South Korea Shuttle Meeting on Financial Issues
On May 15, 2015, the fourth Japan-South Korea Shuttle Meeting on Financial Issues was held between the Financial Services Agency of Japan (JFSA) and the Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) of South Korea. This time, the meeting was held in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan.
The Shuttle Meeting is held periodically, as a part of close supervisory cooperation between the two organizations. Topics discussed in this meeting include impacts of the current global economic environment on the Korean and Japanese financial systems, as well as supervisory measures for customer protection.
Note :
The Korean financial regulatory regime consists of the Financial Services Commission (FSC), which is responsible for drafting/amending financial laws and regulations, and the FSS, which is responsible for enforcement including the supervision and inspection of financial institutions under the FSC.
In this meeting, there were participants from the FSC, as well.
