August 8, 2014:	An approval of the Business Strengthening Plans of The Fukuho Bank, Ltd. and Minami Nippon Bank, Ltd. «Summary» The FSA approved the Business Strengthening Plans of two regional banks, The Fukuho Bank, Ltd. and Minami Nippon Bank, Ltd., pursuant to the "Act on Special Measures for Strengthening Financial Functions."

Administrative action against Consulting Alpha Inc. (Kanto Local Finance Bureau) «Summary» On August 8, 2014, the director-general of the Kanto Local Finance Bureau issued an administrative action against Consulting Alpha Inc. to impose suspension of practice for three months and order improvement of business operations based on a recommendation from the Securities and Exchange Surveillance Commission (SESC). The SESC identified through on-site inspection that there are serious concerns with Consulting Alpha Inc.'s business operation which may impair the public benefit or harm investors.

Updated list of entities who are operating financial instruments business without proper registration (Kanto Local Finance Bureau) «Summary» The FSA (Kanto Local Finance Bureau) issued warnings to entities that are operating financial instruments business without proper registration.

August 11, 2014:	Financial measures to deal with disasters caused by the heavy rain that accompanied Typhoon No. 11 (Tokushima Local Finance Office of Shikoku Local Finance Bureau) «Summary» The Tokushima Local Finance Office and Takamatsu Branch, BOJ issued the statement "Financial Measures to deal with disasters caused by the heavy rain that accompanied Typhoon No. 11" to relevant financial institutions. The statement requests financial institutions in Tokushima Prefecture to appropriately deal with victims of the disaster considering their circumstances, such as by making repayment of deposits flexible.

August 4, 2014:	Publication of the draft EDINET Taxonomy - 2014 (Amendment reflecting the revised "Act on Investment Trusts and Investment Corporations") «Summary» The FSA proposed draft amendments to the EDINET Taxonomy – 2014. The proposed amendments reflect the revision of the "Cabinet Office Ordinance on Disclosure of Information, etc. of Regulated Securities" that followed the introduction of the rights offering for investment corporations and easing of the restrictions on equity repurchase by investment corporations pursuant to the "Act on Investment Trusts and Investment Corporations"
