On November 14, 2014, the FSA published the results of public comments on the amendments to the Regulatory Notice of "The Designated IFRSs” stipulated in the "Regulation for Terminology, Forms and Preparation of Consolidated Financial Statements."
The amendments add the international accounting standards published by the International Accounting Standards Board between January 1 and June 30, 2014, to the list of designated IFRSs that can be used in Japan.

November 23, 2014: Financial measures to deal with disasters caused by the earthquake in the northern part of Nagano Prefecture (Nagano Local Finance Office, Kanto Local Finance Bureau)open new window

On November 23, 2014, the Nagano Local Finance Office and the Bank of Japan’s Matsumoto branch issued the joint statement “Financial Measures to deal with disasters caused by the earthquake in the northern part of Nagano Prefecture” to relevant financial institutions. The statement requests financial institutions in Nagano Prefecture to appropriately deal with victims of the disaster considering their circumstances, such as by making flexible repayment of deposits.
