January 13, 2015:

Publication of a draft amendment to the FSA regulatory notice designating the amount of IBNR loss reserve complying with the Ordinance for Enforcement of the Insurance Business Act «Summary» The FSA proposed a draft amendment to the FSA regulatory notice designating the amount of IBNR (incurred but not reported) loss reserve complying with the Ordinance for Enforcement of the Insurance Business Act. The amendment stipulates the method of IBNR loss reserve calculation for Small Amount and Short Term Insurance Providers regarding all non-life insurances.

January 16, 2015:	Warning issued against KSG RESOURCE Co., Ltd. (Kanto Local Finance Bureau) «Summary» The FSA (Kanto Local Finance Bureau) issued a warning to KSG RESOURCE Co., Ltd., a qualified institutional investor investment business, for operating financial instruments business without proper registration.
January 16, 2015:	Administrative penalty charge against an individual for committing insider trading regarding the stocks of WirelessGate Inc. «Summary» On January 15, 2015, the FSA issued an order to impose an administrative penalty charge against an individual for committing insider trading of stocks of WirelessGate Inc. using information received from an officer of WirelessGate Inc.
January 16, 2015:	Administrative penalty charge against an individual for committing insider trading regarding the stocks of Hitachi Medical Corporation «Summary» On January 15, 2015, the FSA issued an order to impose an administrative penalty charge against an individual for committing insider trading of stocks of Hitachi Medical Corporation using information received from an employee of the company that concluded a contract with the tender offeror.

January 16, 2015:	Publication of “Financial Measures in Response to the Report of the Subspecies of Highly Pathogenic Bird Flu” (Chugoku Local Finance Bureau) «Summary» The Chugoku Local Finance Bureau issued the statement “Financial Measures in Response to the Report of the Subspecies of Highly Pathogenic Bird Flu” to relevant financial institutions. The statement requests financial institutions to deal appropriately with applications for new loans or changes of loan terms from customers affected by the bird flu epidemic.

January 14, 2015:	Major items related to the financial industries in the FY2015 tax reform «Summary» The FSA published the major items related to the financial industries in the FY2015 tax reform which was decided by the Cabinet on January 14, 2015. They include the NISA scheme expansion plan to raise the current annual investment limit from 1 million yen to 1.2 million yen and introduce "Junior NISA" for investors who are younger than 20 years old.
