May 20, 2016:	Publication of draft amendments to the “Comprehensive Guidelines for Supervision of Insurance Companies” «Summary» The FSA proposed draft amendments to the “Comprehensive Guidelines for Supervision of Insurance Companies.” The amendments intend to clarify supervisory approaches for misconduct by insurance companies and insurance solicitors, and to clarify cases where group requirements for group insurance can be waived.
May 19, 2016:	Publication of a draft amendment to the “Ordinance on Enforcement of Certified Public Accountant Examination” «Summary» The FSA proposed a draft amendment to the “Ordinance on Enforcement of Certified Public Accountant Examination.” The amendment pertains to the introduction of new electronic application processing system for certified public accountant examination in light of improving convenience.
May 17, 2016:	Publication of the finalized amendments to the “Order on Limitation on Business During the Transition Period Pertaining to Japan Post Bank and Japan Post Insurance Company” «Summary» The FSA finalized the amendments to the “Order on Limitation on Business During the Transition Period Pertaining to Japan Post Bank and Japan Post Insurance Company.” The notification requirements on Japan Post Insurance Co., Ltd. were amended pertaining to the revisions of the “Insurance Business Act” in 2014. The Order will be enforced on May 29, 2016.

May 20, 2016:	Forum on the promotion of funding for growing businesses in the local economy to be held on June 10, 2016, in Kanazawa City «Summary» On June 10, 2016, the FSA will hold the forum on the promotion of funding for growing businesses in the local economy in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture. Inviting representatives from recently listed local companies, local venture firms, stock exchanges, securities firms, local financial institutions, venture capitals, relevant administrative authorities, etc., this forum provides an opportunity to let them exchange views on various issues affecting the local capital market and share good practices of funding for local businesses.
May 20, 2016:	Publication of the results of the policy evaluation for FY 2014 «Summary» Complying with the “Government Policy Evaluations Act,” all Ministries and Agencies are required to conduct annual policy reviews and reflect the results to improve their policies in order to realize an efficient, high-quality, and results-oriented government administration. The FSA published the results of the policy evaluation for FY 2014.
May 19, 2016:	The seventh Consultation Meeting in relation to the Multiple Debt Problem and Consumer Finance «Summary» On May 24, 2016, the FSA and the Consumer Affairs Agency jointly held the seventh Consultation Meeting relating to the Multiple Debt Problem and Consumer Finance. The consultation meeting was held to follow up the status on lenders and borrowers as part of the measures based on the “Program to Remedy the Multiple Debt Problem.”
