July 7, 2016:

Publication of the draft amendments to the “Order for Enforcement of the Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise Cooperatives Act” «Summary» The FSA proposed the draft amendments to the “Order for Enforcement of the Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise Cooperatives Act.” The proposal is to add the State and the Deposit Insurance Corporation of Japan to the list of non-member borrowers that are exempt from the lending limits of the Federation of Cooperatives Accepting Deposits.

July 6, 2016:	Publication of the agenda and handouts of the third meeting of the “Working Group on Financial Markets” of the Financial System Council «Summary» The FSA published the agenda and handouts of the third meeting of the “Working Group on Financial Markets” of the Financial System Council, which was held on July 6, 2016.

Securities

July 8, 2016:	Progress report of initiatives taken by market participants to reduce securities settlement risks «Summary» The Japan Securities Dealers Association, the Trust Companies Associations of Japan, and the Japan Securities Clearing Corporation published an updated progress report of the initiatives to reduce securities settlement risks.
July 8, 2016:	Publication of “Statistics of NISA and Junior NISA Accounts” «Summary» The FSA published “Statistics of NISA and Junior NISA Accounts.” As of March 31, 2016, there were 10.12 million NISA accounts in total, and approximately 7.8 trillion yen (approximately 77.2billion USD) was invested through the NISA accounts. In addition, there were approximately 80 thousand Junior NISA accounts, which newly started this year.
July 7, 2016:	Updated lists of entities that are operating financial instruments businesses without proper registration (Fukuoka Local Finance Bureau) «Summary» The FSA and the Fukuoka Local Finance Bureau issued warnings to entities that are operating financial instruments businesses without proper registration. (cf. updated lists of Japan-based entities).

July 8, 2016:	Warnings about entities that are operating money lending businesses without proper registration «Summary» The FSA (Local Finance Bureaus) updated warnings about entities that are operating money lending businesses without proper registration. The warnings include the updated list of entities that misrepresent their registration using fictitious or stolen registration numbers.
July 8, 2016:	Publication of the updated “Examples of quarterly consolidated financial statements based on the International Financial Reporting Standards” «Summary» Following “Japan Revitalization Strategy 2015” (which was approved by the Cabinet on June 30, 2015), the FSA published the updated “Examples of quarterly consolidated financial statements based on the International Financial Reporting Standards” which will serve as a reference for entities in preparing quarterly consolidated financial statements.
July 8, 2016:	Publication of the minutes and handouts of the 25th Expert Panel on Policy Assessment «Summary» The FSA published the minutes and handouts of the 25th Expert Panel on Policy Assessment held on June 8, 2016.
July 7, 2016:	Publication of the updated “Cabinet Office Ordinance on Financial Instruments Exchanges” «Summary» The FSA published the updated “Cabinet Office Ordinance on Financial Instruments Exchanges.” The updates pertain to the method of segregation management of clearing margin in regard to market transactions of derivatives at Financial Instruments Exchanges. The Cabinet Office Ordinance was enforced on July 7, 2016.
July 7, 2016:	Designation of Densai Service Co.,Ltd as an electronic monetary claims recording business operator «Summary» The FSA designated Densai Service Co.,Ltd as an electronic monetary claims recording business operator pursuant to the “Electronically Recorded Monetary Claims Act.”
