July 7, 2016: | Publication of the draft amendments to the “Order for Enforcement of the Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise Cooperatives Act” «Summary» The FSA proposed the draft amendments to the “Order for Enforcement of the Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise Cooperatives Act.” The proposal is to add the State and the Deposit Insurance Corporation of Japan to the list of non-member borrowers that are exempt from the lending limits of the Federation of Cooperatives Accepting Deposits. |

July 8, 2016: | Publication of “Statistics of NISA and Junior NISA Accounts” «Summary» The FSA published “Statistics of NISA and Junior NISA Accounts.” As of March 31, 2016, there were 10.12 million NISA accounts in total, and approximately 7.8 trillion yen (approximately 77.2billion USD) was invested through the NISA accounts. In addition, there were approximately 80 thousand Junior NISA accounts, which newly started this year. |
