The FSA established the “Council of Experts on Audit Firm Governance Code” in response to the recommendations made by the “Advisory Council on the Systems of Accounting and Auditing” in March 2016. To establish the principles for organizational operation of audit firms, proceedings were recommended in developing the “Audit Firm Governance Code” under the leadership of the FSA by referring to various opinions from a range of experts. The FSA held the first meeting of the council on July 15, 2016 and published the agenda and handoutsopen new window.
