January 31, 2017: | Publication of statistics regarding over-the-counter (OTC) derivative transactions (as of March 31, 2016) «Summary» The FSA published the (quarterly)* over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives report as of March 31, 2016, pursuant to the “Financial Instruments and Exchange Act.” This report aggregated the OTC derivatives transactions data reported from the Financial Instruments Business Operators in Japan. *:The said report was determined in due consideration to be published semiannually for the data of FY2016, and annually for the data of FY 2017 onwards, thereby simplifying certain information pertaining to residual values of interest rate derivatives and credit derivatives by residual terms. |

Between October 1 and December 31, 2016, the counseling office received 9,268 inquiries and comments, a slight increase from 8,491 cases in the previous quarter (between July 1 and September 30, 2016). |
