March 17, 2017:	The implementation report regarding the Norinchukin Bank and specified agricultural and fishery cooperatives’ credit businesses enhancement scheme for the former half of their business year 2016 < Summary> The FSA published the implementation report regarding the Norinchukin Bank and specified agricultural and fishery cooperatives’ credit businesses enhancement scheme for the former half of their business year 2016. The Norinchukin Bank and the specified agricultural and fishery cooperatives are required to implement the scheme pursuant to the “Act on Enhancement and Restructuring of Credit Business Conducted by the Norinchukin Bank and Specified Agricultural and Fishery Cooperatives.”

March 14, 2017:	Administrative penalty charge against an individual for committing insider trading regarding stocks of LONGLIFE HOLDING Co.,Ltd. and SANWA COMPANY LTD. < Summary> On March 13, 2017, the FSA issued an order to impose an administrative penalty charge against an individual for committing insider trading regarding stocks of LONGLIFE HOLDING Co.,Ltd. and SANWA COMPANY LTD. by using information obtained as an employee of the said entities during the respective employment periods.

The major discussion themes were as follows: Possible Questionnaires in the Customer Survey of Banks’ Intermediary Services Possible List of Data for Analyzing the Current Status of Bank’s Effort for Supporting Customers
March 17, 2017:	Publication of the agenda and handouts of the sixth meeting of the “Advisory Group on Supervisory Approaches” and a summary report of the Advisory Group meetings held from August 2016 through February 2017 < Summary> The FSA published the agenda and handouts of the sixth meeting of “Advisory Group on Supervisory Approaches” held on February 24, 2017. The FSA also published a report by the Advisory Group, which was held six times from August 2016 through February 2017 to discuss the future directions and challenges in carrying out supervisory reform. Based on the efforts made in reviewing inspection and supervisory approaches taken so far, and in grasping the present circumstances, the report outlines the discussion on the way forward, updating inspection and supervisory approaches that value substance over form. The report also sets out particular issues (e.g. a major review of inspection manuals) in realizing the reform.
