March 31, 2017:	Publication of the finalized “Principles for Effective Management of Audit Firms” (the Audit Firm Governance Code) < Summary> The FSA finalized the “Principles for Effective Management of Audit Firms” (the Audit Firm Governance Code) which were developed by the “Council of Experts on Audit Firm Governance Code” at its fifth meeting on December 5, 2016.
March 31, 2017:	Publication of the finalized amendments to the “Cabinet Office Ordinance on Financial Instruments Business”  < Summary> The FSA finalized the amendments to the “Cabinet Office Ordinance on Financial Instruments Business.” The amendments allow aggregation of margins deposited for FX and non-FX transactions. The amendments were enforced on March 31, 2017.
March 31, 2017:	Publication of the finalized amendments to the “Comprehensive Guidelines for Supervision of Major Banks, etc.” regarding Basel III Countercyclical Capital Buffer rules < Summary> The FSA finalized the amendments to the “Comprehensive Guidelines for Supervision of Major Banks, etc.” regarding Basel III Countercyclical Capital Buffer rules. The amendments aim to clarify operation of the Countercyclical Capital Buffer, including the FSA and BOJ’s coordination. The amended guidelines were enforced on April 1, 2017.

March 31, 2017:	Administrative penalty charge against an individual for committing insider trading regarding stocks of KEIOZU HOLDINGS COMPANY < Summary> On March 30, 2017, the FSA issued an order to impose an administrative penalty charge against an individual for committing insider trading regarding stocks of KEIOZU HOLDINGS COMPANY by using information obtained as a contractor of a tender offeror of the said entity.
March 31, 2017:	Administrative penalty charges against three individuals for committing insider trading regarding stocks of Morpho, Inc. (1)(2)(3) < Summary> On March 30, 2017, the FSA issued orders to impose administrative penalty charges against three individuals for committing insider trading regarding stocks of Morpho, Inc., by using information obtained as employees of the said entity.
March 31, 2017:	Administrative penalty charge against an individual for committing insider trading regarding stocks of ASAHI KASEI CORPORATION < Summary> On March 30, 2017, the FSA issued an order to impose an administrative penalty charge against an individual for committing insider trading regarding stocks of ASAHI KASEI CORPORATION, by using information obtained as an employee of a subsidiary of the said entity.
March 30, 2017:	Updated lists of entities that are operating financial instruments businesses without proper registration (Kanto Local Finance Bureau and Fukuoka Local Finance Bureau) < Summary> The FSA, the Kanto Local Finance Bureau, and the Fukuoka Local Finance Bureau, issued warnings to entities that are operating financial instruments businesses without proper registration. (cf. updated list of Japan-based entities).
March 28, 2017:	Administrative action against Macbeth Financial Station Kabushiki Kaisha (Kanto Local Finance Bureau) < Summary> The Kanto Local Finance Bureau took an administrative action against Macbeth Financial Station Kabushiki Kaisha, with respect to the findings in the entity’s business operations identified as a violation of applicable acts and ordinances, ordering the revocation of the entity’s registration and the improvement of its business operations pursuant to the “Financial Instruments and Exchange Act.”
