September 15, 2017:	Publication of statistics regarding unlawful reimbursement of deposits < Summary> The FSA published statistics on unlawful reimbursement of deposits caused by counterfeit and stolen cash cards, stolen deposit books, and unlawful internet banking activities. The statistics include details of incidents and compensation made by financial institutions based on reports from the financial institutions.

September 15, 2017:	An updated list of entities that are operating financial instruments businesses without proper registration (Kanto Local Finance Bureau) < Summary> The FSA and the Kanto Local Finance Bureau issued warnings to entities that are operating financial instruments businesses without proper registration. (cf. updated list of Japan-based entities).
September 15, 2017:	Administrative penalty charge against an individual for committing insider trading regarding stocks of SUNCORPORATION < Summary> On September 14, 2017, the FSA issued an order to impose an administrative penalty charge against an individual for committing insider trading regarding stocks of SUNCORPORATION by using information obtained as a contractor with SUNCORPORATION.
September 12, 2017:	Administrative action against RISE Co., Ltd. (Tokai Local Finance Bureau) < Summary> The Tokai Local Finance Bureau took an administrative action against RISE Co., Ltd. (the notifier of specially permitted businesses for qualified investors (SPBQII)), ordering the abolition of the entity’s entire business and the improvement of its business operations pursuant to the “Financial Instruments and Exchange Act.” This administrative action is based on a recommendation from the Securities and Exchange Surveillance Commission (SESC) as a result of its on-site inspection.

Publication of the agenda and handouts of the first meeting the “Council of Experts on Transitional Measures for Small-Claims and Short-Term Insurance Businesses Operators” < Summary> The FSA published the agenda and handouts of the first meeting of the “Council of Experts on Transitional Measures for Small-Claims and Short-Term Insurance Businesses Operators,” which was held on September 1, 2017.

September 12, 2017:

Publication of an “Easy-to-Understand Guide on Installment Investing NISA” < Summary> “Installment Investing NISA” account opening will become available in October 2017 (investment through installment investing NISA accounts will become available from January 2018). In this context, the FSA published an “Easy-to-Understand Guide on Installment Investing NISA,” a quick investment guide for novice investors.
