Publication of the draft amendments to the regulatory notice pertaining to the liquidity coverage ratio < Summary> The FSA proposed the draft amendments to the regulatory notice pertaining to liquidity coverage ratio for internationally active banks. The proposal mainly aims to reflect the updates from the “Basel III – The Liquidity Coverage Ratio framework: frequently asked questions (as of January 2013)” which was published in June 2017.

November 22, 2017:

Decision on subscription for preferred equity investments in the Shinkumi Federation Bank (central body for Japan credit cooperatives) pursuant to the “Act on Special Measures for Strengthening Financial Functions” < Summary> The FSA decided to subscribe for preferred equity investments in the Shinkumi Federation Bank (central body for Japan credit cooperatives) based on the capital injection scheme pursuant to the “Act on Special Measures for Strengthening Financial Functions.” The fund that is going to be invested in the Shinkumi Federation Bank will be put into member shinkumi banks for the purpose of enhancing their capital adequacy in response to their financial support requests to fully ensure smooth and stable financing for business enterprises in local regions.

November 20, 2017:

Requests for the facilitation of financing for small and medium-sized enterprises during the year-end season < Summary> The FSA requested that bank associations of deposit taking financial institutions and The Norinchukin Bank facilitate financing for small and medium-sized enterprises during the year-end season.

November 22, 2017:

Publication of results of the fund monitoring research < Summary> The FSA published results of the fund monitoring research as of March 31, 2017. The FSA conducts annual research on investment funds (i.e. mutual funds, investment corporations, and collective investment schemes) regarding their sales and asset management pursuant to the “Comprehensive Guidelines for Supervision of Financial Instruments Business Operators.”

November 20, 2017:	Publication of the draft amendments to the EDINET Taxonomy – 2018 < Summary> The FSA proposed the draft amendments to the EDINET Taxonomy – 2018. The amendments are to reflect the revision of the “Ordinance on Terminology, Forms and Preparation Methods of Financial Statements” and relevant accounting standards.
