Securities and Exchange Surveillance Commission
Asia-Pacific Regional Committee of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO-APRC) was held from April 29 to May 1, 2013 in New Delhi, India. Commissioner Yoshida and staff of the Securities and Exchange Surveillance Commission participated in the Committee.
The APRC is one of the regional frameworks in the IOSCO, and consists of 23 IOSCO member countries and regions in the Asia-Pacific Region. It is a place for exchanging information related to the various issues of the capital markets in the Asia-Pacific Region and discussing the promotion of cooperation therein.
On this occasion in which securities regulators from Asian-Pacific region were assembled, the Commissioner individually exchanged views with the representatives of major securities regulators.
In addition, the Commissioner visited Mumbai where the headquarter of Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the securities regulator of India, is located and exchanged views with the executives of the SEBI.
