Y2K Status-Report during the Rollover Period

(As of  17:00, January 1, 2000)

     Three deposit taking financial institutions reported that, on starting up trial today, four disorders related to Y2K that may have a minor effect on their customers and operations (wrong indication in the function of inquiry for the balances of customers and malfunction of passbook-keeping machines, etc) had been identified and three of them had been restored.

     No reports of disorders related to Y2K affecting financial institutions' customers and operations have been made to the Financial Supervisory Agency from any other financial institution and association, etc.
