     Followings are Y2K status-reports in financial sector, based on the reports submitted to the FSA by financial institutions, financial associations and network operators, etc.

Y2K Status-Report during the Leap Day

(As of 14:00, February 29, 2000)


1.       No disorders that significantly affect financial institutions' customers and operations have occurred.

2.
      Today, it was reported that one nonlife insurance, six banks, and two Shinkin banks have identified a total of six disorders related to Y2K that might have a minor effect on their customers and operations (e.g. dates on the premium paying and the receipt of night deposit safe were incorrectly outputted as March 1), but have already restored except for one case.
