(note) About figures of the end of March 1999, some financial institutions took "Partial Direct Write-offs" (to write-off uncollectible portion(Category IV) of bankrupt/effectively bankrupt loans with collateral/guarantee instead of transferring to Specific Allowance for Loan Loss),which amounted approximately to 6.2 trillion Yen(5.5 Trillion Yen for Major Bank) on solo base.
