    The Second Meeting of the "Working Group on Financial Inspection Manuals"           


The second meeting of the Working Group on Financial Inspection Manuals was held
 today at the Financial Supervisory Agency (FSA). 

The Group's discussion focused on basic principles of financial inspection, as
well as internal control systems in banking organizations:
-  the Group discussed the objectives and role of inspection, and 
 their relation with the self-responsibility principle of financial 
 organizations and the market discipline; 
-  two members of the Group presented reports on internal control systems to
 provide a basis for further discussion.
