Participation in the IOSCO Asia-Pacific Regional Committee (APRC)


The International Organization of Securities Commissions Asia-Pacific Regional Committee (IOSCO-APRC) was held on December 1 and 2, 2011 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Commissioner Yoshida and staff from the Executive Bureau of the Securities and Exchange Surveillance Commission participated in the Committee.

The APRC is one of the regional frameworks in the IOSCO, and consists of 25 IOSCO member countries and regions in the Asia-Pacific Region. It is a place for exchanging information related to the various problems of the capital market in the Asia-Pacific Region and discussing the promotion of cooperation therein.

Also, on this occasion in which securities regulatory authorities from all over Asia were assembled, the Commissioner individually exchanged opinions with the representatives of major securities surveillance authorities from Asian countries.
