Securities and Exchange Surveillance Commission
Asia-Pacific Regional Committee of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO-APRC) was held from November 28 to 30, 2012 in Bangkok, Thailand. Commissioner Yoshida and staff of the Securities and Exchange Surveillance Commission participated in the Committee.
The APRC is one of the regional frameworks in the IOSCO, and consists of 25 IOSCO member countries and regions in the Asia-Pacific Region. It is a place for exchanging information related to the various issues of the capital markets in the Asia-Pacific Region and discussing the promotion of cooperation therein.
Also, on this occasion in which securities regulators from Asian countries were assembled, the Commissioner individually exchanged views with the representatives of major securities regulators from Asian countries.
