Securities and Exchange Surveillance Commission

The SESC Chairman, Mr.Takahashi, will visit the securities regulatory authorities of Europe
 
Chairman of Securities and Exchange Surveillance Commission of Japan (''SESC''), Mr.Takahashi, will visit, between September 7 and 13, 2006, the securities regulatory authorities of the United Kingdom, France and Germany to exchange views on various issues of common interests.

Mr.Takahashi will meet with the senior managements of the UK Financial Services Authority (''UKFSA''), Autorité des Marchés Financiers (''AMF'') of France, Commission Bancaire of France (''CBF'') and Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht of Germany (''BaFin'') to discuss the recent developments in global and Japanese capital markets, the activities of each authorities including surveillance, enforcement and inspections, as well as other issues of common interests.

Mr.Takahashi will be accompanied by Mr.Sasaki, Director of Enforcement Division, and Mr.Kaino, Deputy Director for International Affairs.
