Q.: In terms of government administration, what are the advantages of Senior Vice Minister for Financial Services Mr. Tatsuya Ito concurrently taking charge of economic and fiscal policies?
A.: Mr. Ito's job will overlap with my duties, to be in charge of financial services concurrently with economic and fiscal policies. I am extremely delighted. I believe members of the Financial Services Agency (FSA) and the Cabinet Office feel the same way. In my opinion, the Minister and the Senior Vice Minister must implement various policies comprehensively, with the Senior Vice Minister' assistance. We intend to continue working together based on extremely strong ties, so that the collective strength of the Minister and the Senior Vice Minister can be demonstrated.
