A suit had been filed demanding nullification of an Administrative Monetary Penalty Payment Order issued by the Financial Services Agency in 2013, and the first and second rulings have stipulated that the order be nullified. Yesterday was the deadline for the government to appeal to the Supreme Court but, as no appeal was submitted, the government’s loss in this case was finalized.

We will not be appealing the judgment. Having accepted this ruling, we will continue to ensure appropriate administration of the Administrative Monetary Penalty system.
