Hosting Overseas Regulatory Officials
at the Global Financial Partnership Center
(29th Program: 15 Insurance Supervisory Authorities)
- The Global Financial Partnership Center (GLOPAC) invites officials from financial authorities in emerging economies to Japan and provides training programs with the aim of promoting dialogue on policy issues related to financial markets and strengthening collaboration with overseas financial authorities.
- From August 25 to September 4, 2026, GLOPAC hosted the 29th program, welcoming 15 officials from overseas insurance supervisory authorities. The program introduced the Financial Services Agency’s approach to key issues in insurance regulation and supervision and facilitated discussions on relevant policy challenges. (*) As of September 2026, GLOPAC has conducted 29 training programs for overseas financial authorities, including initiatives under its predecessor, the Asia Financial Partnership Center (AFPAC), which was established in April 2014 and reorganized into GLOPAC in April 2016. To date, a total of 281 officials have participated in these programs as research fellows and other roles.
