Establishment of IOSCO Technical Committee Conference, Tokyo Website

The homepage for the ''IOSCO Technical Committee Conference, Tokyo'', which will be hosted by the Financial Services Agency (FAS) on November 8 and 9, has been established. Information on the conference such as the program, venue, etc. is available on the website. Additional information will be provided on it as well.

The IOSCO Technical Committee Conference has been held in New York (2004), Frankfurt (2005) and London (2006) in the past to promote dialogue with the international financial community and in particular with the industry. In this fourth conference, challenges in today's globalizing capital markets will be discussed under the theme ''Market Regulation - Competition, Convergence and Cooperation.''

This conference is an invitation-only event geared toward senior representatives of the international financial community including investors, issuers, exchanges, financial intermediaries, law firms, accountants, rating agencies, academics and journalists.
