Memorandum of Cooperation with Bank of Italy
On December 23, the Financial Services Agency and Bank of Italy signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) regarding cooperation and the exchange of information in the supervision and oversight of regulated entities that operate on a cross-border basis in Japan and Italy.
This MoC intends to strengthen and facilitate supervisory cooperation through sharing of information between both authorities. The contents of this MoC include information sharing upon request, discussion of issues of common supervisory interest, procedures for on-site visits to regulated entities physically located in the jurisdiction of the other authority, and permissible uses and confidentiality of information shared.
