Prime Minister Kishida's Speech at Bloomberg-hosted event in NY
On September 23, commencing at 9:30 a.m. EST (September 23 10:30 p.m. JST) for approximately 60 minutes, at an event hosted by Bloomberg (Japan’s Financial Future | Elevating Asset Management) in NY, Mr. KISHIDA Fumio, Prime Minister of Japan, exchanged views with U.S. and Japanese asset management leaders on the initiative for promoting Japan as a leading asset management center and ways to enhance the attractiveness of the Japanese financial market. In his closing speech, he highlighted the need to continue the initiative and announced the launch of the Asset Management Forum on October 3. A signing ceremony for the establishment of the Asset Management Forum was also held at the event.
(Note) Asset Management Forum is comprised of key asset managers from around the world which aims to promote the initiative in line with the needs of related businesses and investors in Japan and abroad.
