Publication of the Research Report “Financial Institutions’ Current Status of Scenario Analysis based on TCFD Recommendations and the Related Transition Plans”

The Financial Services Agency (FSA) contracted out the research on “Financial Institutions’ Current Status of Scenario Analysis based on TCFD Recommendations and the Related Transition Plans” to the Ernst & Young ShinNihon LLC.

The purpose of the research was to compare and analyze;

• - the current status of scenario analysis disclosed by Japanese leading financial institutions (banks, non-life insurance companies and life insurance companies) based on TCFD Recommendations

• - the differences of those scenario analysis among the sectors

• - the specifics of their transition plans.
