Contributions to the Eurofi Magazine (September 2025)

KANEKO Jutaro, Deputy Commissioner for International Affairs at Financial Services Agency, contributed two articles to the Eurofi Magazine published on September 17, 2025. The articles are titled:

1. “Toward a balanced approach to cross-border payments: Navigating divergent needs”
2. “Japan’s approach to AI: Promoting innovation with responsible risk management”

These articles highlight Japan’s balanced regulatory and supervisory approach to achieve the G20 targets for cross-border payments, as well as the current use of AI in Japan’s financial sector, related regulatory and supervisory initiatives, and potential risks associated with generative AI.
