October 10, 2014:	Publication of draft revisions to the technical standards of the input and output devices for EDINET documents pursuant to the Order for Enforcement of Financial Instruments and Exchange Act «Summary» The FSA proposed draft revisions to the technical standards of the input and output devices for EDINET documents in order to adopt new formats for subscription requirements and for Share Buyback Reports. These draft revisions are to accommodate the revisions of the cabinet office ordinance on disclosure of contents of regulated securities.
October 9, 2014:	Publication of draft revisions to the "Comprehensive Guidelines for the Supervision of Insurance Companies" «Summary» The FSA proposed draft revisions to the "Comprehensive Guidelines for the Supervision of Insurance Companies." The revisions deregulate the restrictions on the business scope for subsidiaries of insurance companies regarding cross-border M&A, broaden the range of notification requirement concerning misconduct, and clarify the business scope of the subsidiaries.
September 30, 2014:	Results of public comments on the amendments to the "Ordinance on Terminology, Forms, and Preparation Methods of Quarterly Financial Statements" «Summary» The FSA published the results of public comments on the amendments to the "Ordinance on Terminology, Forms, and Preparation Methods of Quarterly Financial Statements." The amendments clarify the contents of notes to the quarterly financial statements when the provisional accounting regarding business combination for the quarter is completed.

October 10, 2014:	Publication of revisions to the "Comprehensive Guidelines for Supervision of Credit Guarantee Corporations" «Summary» The FSA published revisions to the "Comprehensive Guidelines for Supervision of Credit Guarantee Corporations." The revisions were applied from October 10, 2014.

Securities

October 7, 2014:

Publication of the results of fund monitoring research «Summary» The FSA published the results of fund monitoring research as of March 31, 2014. Every year, the FSA conducts research on fund (including investment trusts, investment corporations, and collective investment schemes) regarding their status of sales and operation pursuant to the "Comprehensive Guidelines for Supervision of Financial Instruments Business."

September 30, 2014:

Publication of the list of financial instruments business operators who notified the FSA pursuant to the cabinet office ordinance on regulation of over-the-counter transactions of derivatives «Summary» The FSA published the list of financial instruments business operators who notified the FSA, pursuant to the cabinet office ordinance on regulation of over-the-counter transactions of derivatives (OTC derivatives). Those listed financial instrument business operators notified the FSA that, in the previous fiscal year, their notional outstanding of OTC derivatives was more than 1 trillion yen.

October 10, 2014:	The fourth meeting of the Council of Experts Concerning the Corporate Governance Code «Summary» The FSA and Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. will hold the fourth meeting of the Council of Experts Concerning the Corporate Governance Code on October 20, 2014.
October 9, 2014:	Updated list of issuers of gift certificates in repayment procedures based on the "Payment Services Act" «Summary» The FSA updated the list of issuers who are repaying, have completed repaying or have announced the termination of use of prepaid payment instruments, as defined in the "Payment Services Act" (e.g. gift vouchers, gift certificates, and prepaid cards).
