The FSA finalized amendments to the "Supervisory Guidelines for Small Amount and Short Term Insurance Providers" for the implementation of the 2014 revisions of the “Insurance Business Act.”
The amendments update the rules regarding insurance solicitors’ obligations to provide adequate information to customers, work to accommodate the intentions of customers, and develop the compliance system for appropriate insurance solicitation. The amendments also introduce the clarification of insurance solicitation.

The FSA requested enhanced cooperation from the JICPA in order to promote effective dialogue with accounting auditors in charge of financial institutions even when the institution is not currently under FSA’s on-site inspection as part of the FSA’s efforts to enhance its supervisory function by further integrating its on-site inspection and off-site supervision into continuous and seamless monitoring.

The FSA published the annual Financial Monitoring Report. The FSA has conducted the monitoring of financial institutions pursuant to the annual Financial Monitoring Policy published in September 2014. The report outlines the analysis and the challenges identified through the monitoring process. The period reflected in the report extends from July 2014 through June 2015.
