July 27, 2016:

Publication of the finalized amendments to the “Comprehensive Guidelines for Supervision of Major Banks” «Summary» The FSA finalized the amendments to the “Comprehensive Guidelines for Supervision of Major Banks” pertaining to the enforcement of the “Act on Partial Revision of the Act on Prevention of Transfer of Criminal Proceeds.” The guidelines will be enforced on October 1, 2016.

July 26, 2016:

Publication of the finalized amendments to the “Ordinance on Enforcement of Certified Public Accountant Examination” «Summary» The FSA finalized amendments to the “Ordinance on Enforcement of Certified Public Accountant Examination.” The amendments pertain to the introduction of new electronic application processing system for certified public accountant (CPA) examination in light of improving convenience.

July 29, 2016:	Activities of the FSA’s Counseling Office for Financial Services Users between April 1 and June 30, 2016 «Summary» The FSA’s Counseling Office for Financial Services Users is offering a counseling service in response to inquiries and comments from financial services users. Between April 1 and June 30, 2016, the counseling office received 9,163 inquiries and comments, almost unchanged from 9,122 cases in the previous quarter (between January 1 and March 31, 2016). Among them, 246 cases were received through the ex-ante consulting services.
July 25, 2016:	The meeting of the “Council for Cooperation on Financial Stability” «Summary» The FSA and the BOJ (Bank of Japan) held the meeting of the “Council for Cooperation on Financing Stability,” a meeting to exchange views on the current situation of the financial system and the market.
July 25, 2016:	Announcement of personnel changes (announced July 25, 2016)
July 25, 2016:	Publication of the updated “Cabinet Office Ordinance on Financial Instruments Business” «Summary» The FSA published the updated “Cabinet Office Ordinance on Financial Instruments Business.” The updates pertain to transitional measures for the enforcement of Margin Requirements for Non-Centrally Cleared OTC derivatives, allowing segregation of Initial Margin by a custodian for the time being. The Ordinance will be enforced on September 1, 2016.
