February 13, 2019 Publication of the draft amendments to the “Guidelines for Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism” open new window

The FSA proposed the draft amendments to the “Guidelines for Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT).” The proposal mainly aims to further enhance financial institutions’ risk managements for AML/CFT by, among others, clarifying the customer risk assessment as a required action for financial institutions under the section of “Customer Due Diligence” of the Guidelines.
