<Summary>
The FSA announced that, as part of anti-money laundering (AML) and financial crime prevention measures, the JBA (Japanese Bankers Association) has taken the initiative in creating a cross-sectoral* and unified public relations (PR) content for  the ongoing customer due diligence by financial institutions**, with the cooperation of the FSA and the NPA (National Police Agency).

*Deposit-taking financial institutions including banks, shinkin banks, shinkumi federation banks (credit cooperatives), and labor banks.

**Financial institutions regularly send customers sealed postcards/envelopes to verify that accounts are being used by their rightful holders, in order to prevent misuse of accounts. The PR content calls for understanding and cooperation from customers, which leads to financial crime prevention and will eventually contribute to the safety and security of the entire society.
