Emergency Responses Concerning Applications and Notifications to be Filed with the FSA in Consideration of the Impact of COVID-19 Infection (information dissemination)

Based on the notice titled "Temporary Responses Concerning Applications and Notifications to be Filed with the Financial Services Agency in Consideration of the Impact of COVID-19 Infection (information dissemination)," issued on July 17, 2020, the FSA has accepted applications and notifications by email as emergency responses until the completion of the system development.
The FSA developed the FSA Electronic Application and Notification System ("New System") in FY2020 in line with the "JFSA priorities for July 2020-June 2021" so as to enable financial institutions, etc. to submit various applications and notifications (approx. 4,000 procedures) online. The operation of the New System will be commenced on June 30, 2021.

Accordingly, the acceptance of applications and notifications by email, which has been continued as emergency responses, will be terminated in principle, upon the commencement of the operation of the New System.
However, there may be cases where the New System cannot be used for some time after June 30 due to such reasons as a delay in obtaining a gBizID, which is necessary for using the New System. Therefore, as transitional measures for a shift to the New System, the FSA will continue accepting applications and notifications by email until the end of FY2021.
Please properly inform the members of your association regarding the FSA's responses as follows.

1.  Upon the commencement of the operation of the New System, in principle, the FSA will terminate the acceptance of applications and notifications by email, which has been continued as emergency responses since July 17, 2020, based on the notice titled "Temporary Responses Concerning Applications and Notifications to be Filed with the FSA in Consideration of the Impact of COVID-19 Infection (information dissemination)."
2.  However, as transitional measures for a shift to the New System, the FSA will continue accepting applications and notifications by email until the end of FY2021.
3.  As of March 31, 2022, the final day of the aforementioned period for transitional measures, the acceptance of applications and notifications by email, which has been continued as emergency responses, will be terminated.
