Request for Cooperation upon Providing Student Emergency Aid for Continuance of Studies

　In order to offer support to students, etc. who are facing difficulties due to the impact of the COVID-19 infection, the national government decided to implement a program of Student Emergency Aid for Continuance of Studies under the supplementary budget for FY2021. The aid is scheduled to be provided sequentially from January 2022.
　This aid is for helping students, etc. with financial difficulties continue studies at university, etc. Please properly inform the members of your association regarding the following, in light of the purpose of the aid.

　Even in cases where early recovery of income is not expected or loan conditions have already been modified, financial institutions should give due consideration in setting collateral or deciding on seizure for the time being so as not to hinder borrowers' continuance of studies, depending on their respective circumstances.
