There is news coverage that Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Inc. will submit a business improvement plan as early as today in relation to the problem that customer information had been shared among the group without consent. Has the plan already been submitted? Have you received any relevant report?

A.

At this point in time, the FSA has not received a business improvement plan or other documents.

Q.

MUFG seems to be considering certain internal action, but could you explain what you seek from MUFG as the minister in charge of financial services, if anything?

A.

At any rate, individual companies need to make efforts for drastic improvements, including the strengthening of their business management structures, based on the administrative actions issued recently.
The FSA will closely follow up the progress of individual companies' initiatives.
