Hosting Overseas Regulatory Officials
at the Global Financial Partnership Center
(28th Program: 12 Banking Regulatory Authorities)
- The Global Financial Partnership Center (GLOPAC) invites officials from financial authorities in emerging economies to Japan and provides training programs with the aim of promoting dialogue on policy issues related to financial markets and strengthening collaboration with overseas financial authorities.
- From January 27 to February 5, 2026, GLOPAC hosted the 28th program, welcoming 12 officials from overseas banking regulatory authorities. The program introduced the Financial Services Agency’s approach to key issues related to banking regulation and supervision, and facilitated discussions on the associated policy challenges. (*) As of March 2026, GLOPAC has conducted 28 training programs for overseas financial authorities, including initiatives under its predecessor, the Asia Financial Partnership Center (AFPAC), which was established in April 2014 and reorganized into GLOPAC in April 2016. To date, a total of 266 officials have participated in these programs as research fellows and other roles.
