The 2013 revisions of the Act on Investment Trusts and Investment Corporations introduced rights offering as a financing method for investment corporations, as well as eased the restrictions on the acquisition of own investment equities by investment corporations. On April 22, 2014, the Director-General of Kanto Local Finance Bureau issued an administrative action against Interes Capital Management Co., Ltd. based on the recommendation from Securities and Exchange Surveillance Commission (SESC). The SESC identified the violation of law by Interes Capital Management Co., Ltd. through on-site inspection.
