September 30, 2016:	Approval of the establishment of Nishi-Nippon Financial Holdings, Inc., a bank holding company «Summary» The FSA approved the establishment of the bank holding company “Nishi-Nippon Financial Holdings, Inc.,” which has THE NISHI-NIPPON CITY BANK,LTD., The Bank of Nagasaki, Ltd., and Nishi-Nippon Credit Guarantee Co. as subsidiaries, pursuant to the “Banking Act.”
September 29, 2016:	Approval granted to Ashikaga Holdings Co.,Ltd., for acquiring The Joyo Bank, Ltd. as a new subsidiary «Summary» The FSA granted approval to Ashikaga Holdings Co.,Ltd., for acquiring The Joyo Bank, Ltd. as a new subsidiary, pursuant to the “Banking Act.”
September 28, 2016:	Publication of statistics regarding unlawful reimbursement of deposits «Summary» The FSA published statistics on unlawful reimbursement of deposits caused by counterfeit and stolen cash cards, stolen deposit books, and unlawful internet banking activities. The statistics include details of incidents and compensation made by financial institutions based on reports from the financial institutions.

Securities

September 30, 2016:

Publication of “Statistics of NISA and Junior NISA Accounts” «Summary» The FSA published “Statistics of NISA and Junior NISA Accounts.” As of June 30, 2016, there were 10.3 million NISA accounts in total, and approximately 8.4 trillion yen (approximately 83.0 billion USD) was invested through the NISA accounts. In addition, 12.2 billion yen (approximately 121 million USD) was invested through 139 thousand Junior NISA accounts, which newly started this year.

Insurance

September 26, 2016:	License granted to Compania Espanola de Seguros y Reaseguros de Credio y Caucion, S.A. to conduct foreign non-life insurance business «Summary» The FSA granted a license to Compania Espanola de Seguros y Reaseguros de Credio y Caucion, S.A. to conduct foreign non-life insurance business pursuant to the “Insurance Business Act.”

September 30, 2016:	Publication of the agenda and handouts of the second meeting of the “Advisory Group on Supervisory Approaches” «Summary» The FSA published the agenda and handouts of the second meeting of “Advisory Group on Supervisory Approaches” held on September 30, 2016.
September 30, 2016:	Publication of the updated “Ordinance for Enforcement of the Money Lending Business Act” «Summary» The FSA published the updated “Ordinance for Enforcement of the Money Lending business Act” pursuant to the enforcement of the “Act on Partial Revision of the Act on Prevention of Transfer of Criminal Proceeds.” The Ordinance was enforced on October 1, 2016.
