October 28, 2016:	“Symposium on Protection against Financial Fraud” in Kanazawa City «Summary» On November 22, 2016, the FSA and the Hokuriku Local Finance Bureau will jointly hold the “Symposium on Protection against Financial Fraud” in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture. The Symposium is aimed at preventing consumers from getting involved in trouble related to financial fraud.
October 26, 2016:	Publication of an outline of key comments received at the “Contact for Financial Policies Monitor,” a neutral third-party comprised of external experts «Summary» To ensure the effectiveness and transparency of the Financial Policies Monitor System, the FSA published an outline of key comments received at the “Contact for Financial Policies Monitor,” a neutral third-party comprised of external experts, over the three-month period from March to May 2016. The outline also includes corresponding actions taken (or to be taken) by the FSA. The FSA is to publish the outline on a regular basis.
October 24, 2016:	Publication of the agenda and handouts of the third meeting of the “Advisory Group on Supervisory Approaches” «Summary» The FSA published the agenda and handouts of the third meeting of “Advisory Group on Supervisory Approaches” held on October 24, 2016.
October 24, 2016:	Financial measures to deal with disasters caused by the earthquake in the mid-Tottori Prefecture (Tottori Local Finance Office of the Chugoku Local Finance Bureau) «Summary» On October 21, 2016, Tottori Local Finance Office of the Chugoku Local Finance Bureau and the Bank of Japan’s Matsue branch issued a joint statement “Financial Measures to deal with disasters caused by the earthquake in the mid-Tottori Prefecture” to relevant financial institutions. The statement requests financial institutions in Tottori Prefecture to appropriately deal with victims of the disaster considering their circumstances, such as flexibly responding to the needs of deposit withdrawal.
