November 8, 2016:

Publication of draft amendments to the “Cabinet Office Ordinance on Disclosure of Corporate Affairs” «Summary» The FSA proposed draft amendments to the “Cabinet Office Ordinance on Disclosure of Corporate Affairs” based on the proposal presented in the Report by the “Working Group on Corporate Disclosure” of the Financial System Council, which was published in April 2016. One of the proposed draft amendments intends to add “business policies/strategies” as a new disclosure item of annual securities reports.

November 7, 2016:

Publication of a cabinet office ordinance to amend the “Ordinance on Terminology, Forms and Preparation Methods of Consolidated Financial Statements” «Summary» The FSA proposed a cabinet office ordinance to amend the “Ordinance on Terminology, Forms and Preparation Methods of Consolidated Financial Statements,” following the ASBJ’s publication of the Exposure Draft of Accounting Standards No.58: “Accounting Standard for Retirement Benefits,” which pertains to accounting for risk sharing pension plan. The proposal is to reflect the revised accounting standard published by the ASBJ.

Publication of results of the fund monitoring research «Summary» The FSA published results of the fund monitoring research as of March 31, 2016. The FSA conducts annual research on investment funds (i.e. mutual funds, investment corporations, and collective investment schemes) regarding their sales and asset management pursuant to the “Comprehensive Guidelines for Supervision of Financial Instruments Business Operators.”

November 8, 2016:

Administrative penalty charge against MediBIC Group for making false statements in its securities reports «Summary» On November 7, 2016, the FSA issued an order to impose an administrative penalty charge against MediBIC Group for making false statements in its securities reports.

November 9, 2016:	Warnings about entities that are operating money lending businesses without proper registration «Summary» The FSA (Local Finance Bureaus) updated warnings about entities that are operating money lending businesses without proper registration. The warnings include the updated list of entities that misrepresent their registration using fictitious or stolen registration numbers.
November 9, 2016:	“Symposium on Protection against Financial Fraud” in Fukuoka City «Summary» On December 7, 2016, the FSA and the Fukuoka Local Finance Bureau will jointly hold the “Symposium on Protection against Financial Fraud” in Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture. The Symposium is aimed at preventing consumers from getting involved in trouble related to financial fraud.
