|December 28, 2017||Publication of the “Initiatives to Create an Environment for the Same Contents Disclosure (provisional English title)”
The FSA and the Ministry of Justice jointly put together and published the “Initiatives to Create an Environment for the Same Contents Disclosure (provisional English title)” to facilitate the same contents disclosure of annual securities reports under the “Financial Instruments and Exchange Act” and business reports, etc. (inclusive of financial statements) under the “Companies Act.”

The FSA (Local Finance Bureaus) updated warnings about entities that are operating money lending businesses without proper registration. The warnings include the updated list of entities that misrepresent their registration using fictitious or stolen registration numbers.
|January 12, 2018||Request for financial measures to deal with the outbreak of highly pathogenic avian flu (HPAI) in Kagawa Prefecture and Tokushima Prefecture (The Shikoku Local Finance Bureau)
The Shikoku Local Finance Bureau issued the statement “Financial Measures in Response to the Report of the Subspecies of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI)” to relevant financial institutions in Kagawa Prefecture and Tokushima Prefecture. The statement requests financial institutions to cooperate with prefectural authorities and appropriately deal with HPAI-affected parties (poultry farms, processors, and trade) considering their circumstances, such as by attentively responding to the needs of business management consultation and new loans or change of loan terms.
