November 17, 2021 Publication of the finalized amendments to the "Order to Specify the Form of Identification Card Required to be Carried by the FSA's Officials in Conducting On-Site Monitoring as Prescribed in Article 36, Paragraph (1) of the Act on Damage Recovery Benefit Distributed from Funds in Bank Accounts Used for Crimes" and to the "Order to Specify the Form of Identification Card to be Carried by the FSA's Officials in Conducting On-Site Monitoring as Prescribed in Article 44, Paragraph (1) of the Act on Utilization of Funds Related to Dormant Deposits to Promote Public Interest Activities by the Private Sector"

The FSA finalized the amendments to the "Order to Specify the Form of Identification Card Required to be Carried by the FSA's Officials in Conducting On-Site Monitoring as Prescribed in Article 36, Paragraph (1) of the Act on Damage Recovery Benefit Distributed from Funds in Bank Accounts Used for Crimes" and to the "Order to Specify the Form of Identification Card to be Carried by the FSA's Officials in Conducting On-Site Monitoring as Prescribed in Article 44, Paragraph (1) of the Act on Utilization of Funds Related to Dormant Deposits to Promote Public Interest Activities by the Private Sector."
The amendments mainly update the form of identification cards required to be carried by the FSA's Officials in conducting on-site monitoring at financial institutions, by abolishing official seals thereto. The amendments were enforced on November 17, 2021.

November 15 and 17, 2021 Request for financial measures to deal with the outbreak of highly pathogenic avian flu (HPAI) in Kumamoto, Kagoshima, and Hyogo Prefectures (The Kyushu Local Finance Bureau and The Kinki Local Finance Bureau)
<Summary>
The Kyushu Local Finance Bureau and The Kinki Local Finance Bureau issued the statements "Financial Measures in Response to the Report of the Subspecies of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI)" to relevant financial institutions in Kumamoto, Kagoshima, and Hyogo Prefectures,* respectively on November 15 and 17, 2021. The statements request financial institutions to cooperate with prefectural authorities and appropriately deal with HPAI-affected parties (poultry farms, processors, and trade) considering their circumstances, such as by attentively responding to the needs of business management consultation and new loans or the changing of loan terms.
*In terms of financial measures, Kumamoto and Kagoshima Prefectures are within the purview of The Kyushu Local Finance Bureau, whereas Hyogo Prefecture is within the purview of The Kinki Local Finance Bureau.
