The FSA published the agenda and handouts of the fifth meeting of the "Working Group on Financial Institutions' Efforts towards the Decarbonization of the Economy," which was held on February 28, 2023.
In the fifth meeting, the guest practitioners respectively introduced their support for decarbonization in corporate management and practices of the issuance of transition bonds, and the Working Group members discussed the respective topics presented.

February 24, 2023 Publication of "Statistics of NISA and Junior NISA Accounts" as of December 31, 2022 (preliminary figures)

The FSA has published "Statistics of NISA and Junior NISA Accounts" (preliminary figures). As of December 31, 2022, there were approximately 18.0 million NISA accounts in total, and approximately 30.7 trillion yen (approximately 229.0 billion USD) was invested through the NISA accounts, among which, 2.8 trillion yen (approximately 21.0 billion USD) was invested through approximately 7.3 million accounts of the Tsumitate NISA (Dollar-Cost Averaging NISA) which has started since January 2018.

February 24, 2023 Announcement pertaining to FY2022 commendations for contribution to the dissemination and advancement of financial literacy in Japan 
<Summary>
The FSA and the BOJ (Bank of Japan) announced that they have decided to commend 14 individuals and one organization for their contribution to the dissemination and advancement of financial literacy among the public in Japan as of FY 2022.
In light of further promoting activities to advance the nation's literacy on finance and its underlying economy, yearly commendations are given to individuals and organizations* that have adopted good practices in contributing to the dissemination and advancement of financial literacy among the public in Japan.
The applicable local authorities in the respective prefectures will notify the persons or organizations to be awarded (hereinafter referred to as "the awardees") to that effect, thereby commending the awardees with the certificates of commendation co-signed by the Minister of State for Financial Services and the Governor of the BOJ in due course.
