The FSA published the agenda and handouts of the seventh meeting of the "Working Group on Financial Institutions' Efforts towards the Decarbonization of the Economy," which was held on May 24, 2023.
In the seventh meeting, the secretariat (the FSA) gave a briefing on the (draft) report for a summary of discussions of the Working Group, followed by a discussion among the Working Group members.

May 23, 2023 Publication of a series of new tutorial videos in regard to sustainability-related disclosure, aimed at further enhancement of corporate disclosure of narrative information
<Summary>
The FSA has published a series of new tutorial videos on "Sustainability Information" and other narrative information newly required to be disclosed in annual securities reports, and other relevant documents pursuant to the amended "Cabinet Office Order on Disclosure of Corporate Information, etc.," which was enforced on January 31, 2023, aimed at further enhancement of corporate disclosure of narrative information.
The videos provide an overview of the said Cabinet Office Order and examples of disclosure practices that can be used as reference in disclosing related annual securities reports, and other relevant documents.

May 19, 2023 Publication of the main issues raised by the FSA at opinion exchange meetings with relevant associations in the financial sector 
<Summary>
The FSA has published the main issues raised by the FSA at opinion exchange meetings* held with relevant associations in the financial sector in April 2023. (Available only in Japanese).
 
The common topic across the groups was:
- the Financial Policies Monitor System.
 
Notable issues discussed by most but not all groups were:

- the sharing of the results of a questionnaire survey on financial institutions' sales and product management systems for financial instruments, as well as the enhancement of the financial institutions' policies and status of initiatives/efforts

- the dissemination and publicity concerning NISA, and

- the FSA's annual request to financial institutions to report data related to the actual transaction status and AML/CFT (Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism) measures taken by the respective financial institutions. 

* To enhance the transparency of its administration and to share its awareness of issues in the financial sector in a timely manner, every month the FSA publishes the main issues raised by the FSA at opinion exchange meetings with the relevant associations** in the financial sector. Opinion exchange meetings are held with the respective associations on a regular basis.

** In April 2023, opinion exchange meetings were held respectively with six groups: major banks, etc.; the Regional Banks Association of Japan and the Second Association of Regional Banks; Trust Companies Association of Japan; Community Bank, Shinyo Kumiai (National Central Society of Credit Cooperatives); the Japan Securities Dealers Association (JSDA); and Japan Financial Services Association.
