August 5, 2024 | Call for corporate participants in an online "Study Group for Collecting Good Practices on Corporate Disclosure of Narrative Information Based on the Principles for the Disclosure of Narrative Information" <Summary> The FSA has started a call for participants from listed companies in an online "Study Group for Collecting Good Practices on Corporate Disclosure of Narrative Information Based on the Principles for the Disclosure of Narrative Information." Six online sessions* of the Study Group are scheduled to be held in the period from September 11, 2024, until February 17, 2025. The Study Group is to bring investors, analysts, experts, and representatives from listed companies together to update the reference casebook** of good practices on the disclosure of narrative information based on the "Principles for the Disclosure of Narrative Information." Online session registrations are now being accepted through Microsoft Forms from August 5 through 26, 2024. (The number of participants may be limited depending on online communication limitations). * In the sessions, companies that have been introduced in the reference casebook as those that have been conducting good practices will give presentations on the content of disclosures in their annual securities reports as well as presenting their background and awareness of issues that led to their disclosures, insights to develop their disclosure processes, merits of enhanced disclosure, and so forth. They will also provide their opinions on the key points of disclosure expected by investors and other stakeholders. The sessions will be followed by an exchange of opinions and a Q&A session among the participants. ** The reference casebook is updated by the Study Group as deemed necessary.
