Publication of the finalized amendments to the "Comprehensive Guidelines for Supervision of Major Banks, etc." and other relevant and applicable Guidelines, alongside the finalized "Guidelines for Cybersecurity in the Financial Sector" (provisional English title) after public consultation <Summary> The FSA published the finalized amendments to the "Comprehensive Guidelines for Supervision of Major Banks, etc." and other relevant and applicable Guidelines, alongside the finalized "Guidelines for Cybersecurity in the Financial Sector" (provisional English title) after public consultation. The finalized amendments to the Comprehensive Guidelines and the finalized Guidelines for Cybersecurity are aimed at addressing the escalation of cyber risks in recent years. Publication of the agenda and handouts of the fourth meeting of the "Working Group on Disclosure and Assurance of Sustainability-related Financial Information" of the Financial System Council <Summary> The FSA published the agenda and handouts of the fourth meeting of the "Working Group on Disclosure and Assurance of Sustainability-related Financial Information" of the Financial System Council, which was held on October 10, 2024.  In the fourth meeting, the secretariat (i.e. the FSA) gave a briefing on the way forward for considerations of safe harbors and on the sustainability assurance framework, followed by a discussion among the Working Group members. The 22nd Consultation Meeting in Relation to the Multiple-Debt Problem and Consumer Finance <Summary> On October 9, 2024, the FSA and the Consumer Affairs Agency jointly held the 22nd Consultation Meeting in Relation to the Multiple-Debt Problem and Consumer Finance. The consultation meeting was held to follow up the status on lenders and borrowers as part of the measures based on the "Program to Remedy the Multiple-Debt Problem." Determination to correct an order for an administrative monetary penalty against an individual for communicating insider information regarding stocks of Stream Media Corporation obtained as an employee of a contract negotiator with Stream Media Corporation <Summary> On October 9, 2024, the FSA determined to correct its order for an administrative monetary penalty issued on August 27, 2024, against an individual for communicating insider information* obtained as an employee of a contract negotiator with Stream Media Corporation to an individual (non-insider) who used the information and committed insider trading regarding stocks of Stream Media Corporation. The correction pertains to technical amendments intended to elaborate the prescription of facts and reasons in the statement of the said order.   *This act is considered a violation of the "Financial Instruments and Exchange Act."
