Special Zones for Financial and Asset Management Businesses
Based on the “Policy Plan for Promoting Japan as a Leading Asset Management Center” (December 13, 2023), the FSA published the “Policy Package to Achieve Special Zones for Financial and Asset Management Businesses.” The FSA decided to assign the following four areas as the Special Zones (June 4, 2024):
- Hokkaido and Sapporo (joint proposal)
- Tokyo
- Osaka Prefecture and Osaka City (joint proposal)
- Fukuoka Prefecture and Fukuoka City (joint proposal)
In collaboration with relevant local governments and government ministries and agencies, the FSA are implementing the initiatives shown in this policy package.
