The Japanese Financial Services Agency (FSA) provides a wide range of administrative and start-up support services, along with assistance with life in Japan, in English for overseas financial companies that are considering establishing an office in Japan. Through its extensive domestic and international network, FSA can provide holistic support for your business endeavors in Japan.

Financial Market Entry Office

In January 2021, FSA and the Finance Bureau established the Financial Market Entry Office (FMEO) to support overseas financial companies newly entering the Japan market. FMEO handles all regulatory processes, from pre-application consultation to registration, as well as supervision after registration. All communication and support can be provided in English.

Financial Start-Up Support Program

The Financial Start-Up Support Program is designed to help overseas financial companies establish an office and expand business activities in Japan through providing “one-stop” consultations and access to a wide range of free support services in English.
Through both business support and assistance with life in Japan, FSA hopes to facilitate the entry of overseas financial companies and individuals into the Japan market.
